Fringe Hill Design lives in beautiful Austin, Texas. Kimberly, a Dallas native, learned to sew at a young age. Taught by her grandmother and great grandmother who where dress designers out of San Angelo. Shortly after marrying into a farming family, Kimberly and her husband moved to Sayulita, Mexico where she opened a beach bohemian boutique, hand-sewing clothing and handbags, using mostly local artisan goods. Now back in Texas, her latest designs reflect both influences; modern western and traditional artisan design.

Every bag is designed and copyrighted in our Austin studio and then custom crafted in Mexico and Texas. At the start, Kimberly was hand sewing every bag, using up cycled leather and vintage belts for straps. We now work with very talented artists helping us to create our beautiful bags. Different pieces of the bags are finished in artisan regions of Mexico and Guatemala then shipped to Texas where we assemble, package and ship them to you.

Fringe Hill is still traveling through Mexico and constantly adding to the never ending collection of new/old woven fabrics, vintage western style silver and decorative embossed leathers.  Straps are a mix of new and used belt straps with obvious stress marks. Straps were started as belts converted into purse straps. If it is a vintage strap, we will make it clear in the description. Our priority is high quality, function and original design. We work most days out of our Austin studio, making sure each piece has reached perfection before sending it you!
